How points are awarded in CRS Calculator?
Points awarded are mainly based on two factors:
- If the candidate is migrating with the spouse
- If the candidate is migrating without a spouse

CRS awards the candidates with a maximum of 1200 points through the CRS calculator 2020. Candidates who are traveling with their spouse or common-law partner are awarded points in the following manner:
- In core, human capital factor maximum awarded points are 500.
- Skill transferability factors award with a maximum of 100 points.
- For the provincial nomination program, 600 points were awarded.
- For arranged employment up to 200 points are available.
- Canadian study experience awards with up to 30 points.
- Extra points for language proficiency in French – 30 additional points.
- Maximum 15 points for a sibling living in Canada as a permanent residence.
Candidates who are traveling without their spouse or common-law partner are awarded points in the following manner:
- In core, human capital factor maximum awarded points are 460 for the principal applicant, and for spouse or common-law partner maximum awarded points are 40.
- For the provincial nomination program, 600 points were awarded.
- For arranged employment up to 200 points are available.
- Canadian study experience awards with up to 30 points.
- Extra points for language proficiency in French – 30 additional points.
- Maximum 15 points for a sibling living in Canada as a permanent residence. (Sibling can be a primary applicant or spouse or common-law partner. Only one can be applicable for both)
How does CRS work in express entry programs?
