1. RRR
One of the biggest blockbusters of the year featuring huge stars across industries like Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, RRR is a much-anticipated film that stood up to all the expectations. SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus period drama was absolutely marvellous and had it not been a multilingual film, a huge chunk of the audience would’ve missed out on this exceptional piece. 2. Radhe Shyam
After the success of his Baahubali franchise and Saaho, Prabhas was back with a bang opposite Pooja Hegde in Radhe Shyam. Set in 1920s Europe the film talked about an unusual love story beyond the lines of destiny. Helmed by director Radha Krishna Kumar, this period drama was released pan-India in multiple languages and turned out to be a huge success. You can now watch it on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
3. KGF 2
After the huge success of KGF, it comes as no surprise that the Yash-starrer KGF 2 was also a raging success at the box office. The larger than life action film had a bigger star cast this time around with Srinidhi Shetty reprising her role while Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon played pivotal roles in Rocky’s story. 4. Gangubai Kathiawadi
Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is one of the very few Bollywood films in recent years that had a multilingual release. The plot is loosely based on the real-life incidents from the life of Gangubai Harjivandas, popularly known as Gangubai Kothewali. It talks about a young Ganga who was forced into prostitution after her boyfriend tricked her and left her in a brothel in Kamathipura for Rs 1000. 5. Pushpa: The Rise
Helmed by Sukumar, Pushpa, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, marked Allu Arjun’s first multilingual pan-India release. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Raj avatar and his iconic dialogues combined with an impactful storyline and stunning cinematography contributed to the film’s success at the box office. 6. Thalaivii
Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivii was one of the most awaited Bollywood films of the year. Although the AL Vijay directorial was shot in Tamil and Hindi, it was also dubbed and released in multiple other languages. This biopic narrated the story of late actor-turned-politician Jayalalithaa aka “Amma” and her journey from a teenager to becoming the most loved actress and politician in all of South India.
