Health: 8 Benefits of Pineapple Tea. Packed with healthy nutrients, the pineapple is one of the most effective thirst quenchers around. But many people throw away their pineapple peels not knowing how awesome they are. Pineapple tea is a way to switch things up and enjoy health benefits at the same time! Here are some of the most commonly found ones in pineapples peels.
Helps with digestion
Pineapple is packed with nutrients that your digestive system will thank you for including bromelain, which has been proven to break down protein molecules in your digestive tract. This is what helps it to be more useful and absorbable, allowing your body to get the essential nutrients it needs from food.
Anti-inflammatory
Bromelain is a natural anti-inflammatory that can help the body fight inflammation. It can also reduce swelling after an injury or surgery, and its powerful anti-inflammatory properties can help ease sinuses. Additionally, pineapple peels are also rich in vitamin C which will work with Bromelain to prevent infection.
Can help prevent cancer
Pineapple tea helps reduce chronic inflammation and mitigate oxidative stress, which are connected to the causes of cancer. Plus, it’s rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, bromelain, and manganese.
Fertility
If you are a woman trying to conceive, it is important that you pay attention to what you’re putting into your body. Pineapple and its skins are beloved by many because they contain bromelain, a nutrient that reduces inflammation in the body and helps ward off an inhospitable environment for implantation. Pineapple tea is the most delicious way to consume these helpful nutrients.
Can help with arthritis
Bromelain is here again to provide relief from joint pain and arthritis. If you have a habit of drinking pineapple tea, it can alleviate some of your pain. It helps by targeting the source of the problem directly.
Has disease-fighting antioxidants
Pineapple peels are loaded with nutrients and herbs that help the body fight both inflammation and oxidative stress. They’re nutritious, low in calories and they add balance to the body by preventing pesky free radicals from damaging our cells. Pineapple tea has plenty of antioxidants called phenolic acids and flavonoids that work well at calming inflammation.
Helps speed recovery after strenuous workouts or surgery
With pineapple tea, you can decrease the time it will take your body to recover from a strenuous workout or surgery. Again, this is in large part because of bromelain’s anti-inflammatory properties. With Bromelain, the enzyme present in pineapple tea has the capability to reduce the bruising, swelling, and inflammation caused by strenuous workouts or surgeries.
Easy to integrate into a diet
Pineapple peels may taste just like a normal piece of fruit, but what people don’t realize is that they can be used in healthy ways too. They’re relatively cheap and can be found all year round. Replacing your morning coffee with an exotic pineapple tea will help you both detoxify body and mind.
