What are the benefits of drinking celery juice on an empty stomach? The answer is manifold. First, it has a diuretic effect, so you’ll lose excess water weight.
Second, it’s rich in vitamin C and potassium, which can help regulate blood pressure and decrease your risk for stroke. Third, high calcium levels can promote strong bones and teeth – especially important for children who are still developing their skeleton.
Finally, suppose you’re suffering from acid reflux or heartburn (GERD). In that case, celery juice might be a good option because its high natural sodium content will help neutralize stomach acids that cause discomfort.
Celery juice on an empty stomach is a natural way to reduce the risk of heart disease. Celery contains high antioxidants, which can help reverse the damage that causes plaque buildup in your arteries.
The enzymes and sodium found in celery also work together to protect against cardiovascular disease by reducing inflammation, preventing blood clots, lowering cholesterol, and improving circulation while increasing energy.
Drinking celery juice every morning before breakfast is an easy way to get all these benefits with no calories at all!
Don’t forget to drink lots of water with your celery juice! It may seem counterintuitive but drinking more.
What is celery juice?
Celery juice is the liquid that remains after the celery stalk juice. It’s a very simple recipe: take many celery stalks, wash them off and place them in your food processor or blender with a bit of water. Process until you have a glass full of liquid.
The celery plant contains a wealth of health benefits, including:
Celery juice is known for its high amounts of Vitamin K and antioxidants. It’s also an anti-inflammatory food that can help protect against certain ailments like Alzheimer’s disease, atherosclerosis (a buildup of plaque in the arteries which causes cardiovascular disease), and osteoporosis (where the bones become weak and brittle). Celery juice can also lower blood pressure, reduce bad cholesterol while increasing good cholesterol levels.
One of the more interesting ways to use celery is in a facial cleanser or toner. Celery contains organic salts that work to exfoliate and cleanse the skin.
What’s so special about celery juice?
There are a couple of reasons why celery juice is so healthy. First, it has fiber in the juice, which makes you feel full after drinking this beverage. And second, celery juice helps with detoxification within the body and blood cleansing.
First of all, celery juice is very low in calories: just 20 calories per cup. And it’s very low in fat: only 0.1g per cup. So, if you’re trying to lose weight and burn fat, this is the drink for you!
Secondly, celery juice has a lot of vitamins and minerals. There are several types of vitamins found within celery juice:
Why Drink Celery Juice on an Empty Stomach
There are many reasons why you should drink celery juice on an empty stomach. First, celery juice has a high alkaline base, which helps your body neutralize acidity.
Secondly, it doesn’t contain any sugar or sweeteners. So if you don’t eat in the morning and are suffering from hypoglycemia, I would recommend drinking this beverage on an empty stomach in the morning.
Thirdly, celery juice contains a lot of minerals and vitamins, as well as amino acids. According to GreenMedInfo: ” Celery is one of the richest sources of phytonutrients found in plant foods, with at least 40 unique polyphenols identified.” This means that it can be highly absorbent for heavy metals and other contaminants.
Fourth, celery juice is filled with vitamin K and malic acid. According to a study from the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, even though you can find vitamin K in various foods like leafy green vegetables, celery is the richest source of this all-important nutrient.
Benefits of drinking celery juice on an empty stomach include
Cleaning the intestines and colon.
Reduced levels of blood sugar, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.
A hormone that allows you to burn off fat instead of storing it.
5th, celery contains phthalide, an anti-inflammatory compound that can be more effective than medicines that treat inflammation.
Phthalide also helps protect against cardiovascular disease, cancer, and osteoporosis. Phthalide primarily found in celery seed; therefore, the best way to get optimal results from this compound is to juice celery seeds (see below for recipe).
6th, celery will encourage weight loss and cleanse your bowels.
Celery is not high in calories but packs an excellent amount of fiber. Eating celery will help prevent constipation, and it is one of the best foods for cleansing your intestines. Eating a lot of celery also helps you lose weight because of the fiber content.
Side effects of drinking celery juice on an empty stomach include headache, nausea, and fatigue.
You can make the celery juice several times a day or drink it once on an empty stomach first thing in the morning (it is great to drink it before breakfast). It is best to eat no solid food for at least 2-3 hours after taking celery because its cleansing effects can be powerful.
It will also help to drink it on an empty stomach away from other food, as the juice can help cleanse your bowels just as well as your digestive tract.
Side effects of taking celery seed extract on an empty stomach
Celery is often recommended, with a teaspoon of Celery Seed Powder, for treating irritable bowel disease and constipation. The herbal remedy site Herbal Remedies lists the side effects of celery as follows:
“Side Effects, Side Effect Interactions, Caution/ Warning Precautions & Advice: If you experience any of these side effects, stop using the product immediately.
The most common side effects are possible allergic reactions such as skin irritation, itching, and rashes. For more information, refer to the Biaxin drug facts sheet.”
I want to remind you that celery seed contains the alkaloid apiol, which is mentioned on these pages because the chemical structure of apiol looks very much like caffeine.
The major difference between caffeine and apiol is that apiol is about 20 times more toxic than caffeine. Alkaloid poisoning can occur from eating celery seeds or drinking teas made from celery seeds because the intact alkaloids are contained in the seeds.
When to drink celery juice on an empty stomach
One of the strongest and most effective cures for bacterial infections is celery juice. But when should you drink it? First of all, make sure that no bacteria are living in or on your body because if there are, then drinking celery juice will only feed those bacteria!
If possible, eat a small meal before you drink your celery juice because if you drink it on an empty stomach, your body will burn the celery juice and won’t absorb the nutrients. Once there are no bacteria in your system, and once you have eaten a meal (or at least some food), drinking celery juice should be done as quickly as possible!
You do not want to let the juice sit in your stomach for any longer than 15 minutes, especially at night time! Drinking celery juice on an empty stomach is one thing, but drinking it before you go to bed can potentially cause a serious nightmare scenario.
If you are not familiar with the term, “nightmare” refers to a condition where there are too many bacteria.
How to make a home-made version of celery juice
I decided to make my version of celery juice because it is simply impossible to find the real thing in stores! The good news? Making it at home is easy.
The first step is to obtain celery stalks. You can either buy them or grow your own, which is pretty simple, even on a small scale.
As for the seeds, you should look for celery with seeds, as they have a higher nutrient concentration than those without. I also heard that the stalks are healthier than the leaves (although I am not sure about this).
Once you grow or buy your celery and juice it (I recommend this option because home juicing your celery will yield much more juice than the bottles you’d buy at the store, and I am tempted to say that it is also tastier), mix the juice with a good quality apple cider vinegar. The best type of apple cider vinegar is one that does not contain any added sugar.
Tips and tricks for drinking the right amount of water each day
1. Drink half your body weight in ounces each day (so if you weigh 120 pounds, drink 60 ounces of water).
2. If you know that you will be drinking alcohol on the weekend, increase your water intake before you go out so that you know you’ve reached your baseline intake for the day. Alcohol will dehydrate you, so make sure to catch up on water intake during the week when possible.
3. If your urine is dark yellow, drink more water as it means that. You were not hydrated enough over some time and your body is holding on to water.
4. If you feel hungry, have an apple or some berries first and chase it with water to fill you up.
5. Add lemon juice or a squeeze of lime to your water in the morning — drinking plain alkaline water can be hard for some people to tolerate at first.
6. Keep your water chilled on the weekdays. To activate hydration, first, you have to tolerate it cold as this is how nature intended us to drink water — straight from the source when we were cavemen/women!
7. Chew sugarless gum or drink a glass of water after meals if you tend.
